The Queen Mary 2 was on her 2nd world cruise after visiting Japan & many other ports of call. It was also the 2nd time the 2 vessels had reunited since they last departed each other in October one month before the qe2's infamous final voyage to Dubai , it was said it would be the last time they would ever meet but this was truly a rare moment. It was a big surprise to the passengers aboard who saw the QE2 on the horizon as the Queen Mary 2 arrived in Port Rashid that morning. As nice as it was to see the 2 vessels together once again as they should be in the end... It was also is a very bittersweet sight for many who sailed with her. Unfortunately the passengers not were allowed to tour QE2 while they were in port. The Queen Mary 2 then leaves the QE2 for the final time at the end of her port of call in Dubai as seen from the Costa Victoria. It's May already & still her new owners have not yet released the final plans on what they will do with her in her final renovations. It's a sad sight as we also see other vessels from across the world reunite with QE2 docked in Dubai. Each photo a heart breaker , it is like shes been left for dead by her own people yet the British people never got a fair trial on what they wanted for their beloved national icon. RMS Queen Mary 2 visits Singapore
The RMS Queen Mary 2 visits Singapore on her 2010 world cruise. The traffic is rather heavy in the afternoon, in the waters of the Pasir Panjang Container Terminal. Her last port was Port Klang (for passengers headed for Kuala Lumpur), Malaysia and her next port was Laem Chabang (for passengers headed for Bangkok), Thailand. Enjoy the video!

Her port side whistle comes from the original Queen Mary in Long Beach. It used to sit on her middle funnel until it was removed in 1970 and placed in the Queen Mary Museum aboard the great ship. In 2004 it was restored and added to RMS Queen Mary 2. Enjoy!

The RMS Queen Mary 2 is a Cunard Line ocean liner named after the earlier Cunard liner Queen Mary, which was in turn named after Mary of Teck, the Queen Consort of George V. It does not commemorate the reign of Queen Mary II. At the time of her construction in 2003 by the Chantiers de l'Atlantique, the Queen Mary 2 was the longest, widest and tallest passenger ship ever built, and at gross tonnage (GT) of 148528 tons, was also the largest. She lost the gross tonnage distinction to Royal Caribbean International's 154407 GT Freedom of the Seas in April 2006, but Queen Mary 2 remains the largest ocean liner (as opposed to cruise ship) ever built, and her width, length, and waterline breadth are unsurpassed by any other passenger ship.[4] Moreover, the Queen Mary 2 displaces approximately 76000 tons; the Royal Caribbean Freedom ships displace about 64000 tons. The Queen Mary 2 was the first major ocean liner built since the Queen Elizabeth 2 in 1969. Queen Mary 2's facilities include 15 restaurants and bars, five swimming pools, a casino, a ballroom, a theatre, and a planetarium. Queen Mary 2 sails into Auckland
The biggest passenger cruise liner ever to grace these shores paid its second visit to Auckland today, giving night-owls and early birds a chance to see it cruising in the harbour. The 23-storey, 345m-long Queen Mary 2 docked at about 9am and is due to set sail for Sydney around 10pm today. The US$800 million ($1.57 billion), 151400-tonne luxury liner is too big for Princes Wharf terminal and will berth at Jellicoe Wharf near Quay St. For about 123 New Zealanders, today is the day they swap a life of ballrooms, lobster and champagne on board for their everyday lives on shore. A lucky 88 New Zealanders will board the ship, with its 10 restaurants, five pools, an outsized ballroom and floating planetarium. But most of us will have to settle for a view of the outside. A Ports of Auckland spokeswoman said the best views of the ship would be from lookout points on the coast at Parnell, the East Coast Bays and the North Shore between 7 and 8am and as it left, lit-up, late tonight.
