Cruise ship Queen Mary 2 going to Rotterdam 22.07.09 (1)
The RMS Queen Mary 2 is a Cunard Line ocean liner named after the earlier Cunard liner Queen Mary, which was in turn named after Mary of Teck, the Queen Consort of George V. It does not commemorate the reign of Queen Mary II. At the time of her construction in 2003 by the Chantiers de l'Atlantique, the Queen Mary 2 was the longest, widest and tallest passenger ship ever built, and at gross tonnage (GT) of 148528 tons, was also the largest. She lost the gross tonnage distinction to Royal Caribbean International's 154407 GT Freedom of the Seas in April 2006, but Queen Mary 2 remains the largest ocean liner (as opposed to cruise ship) ever built, and her width, length, and waterline breadth are unsurpassed by any other passenger ship.[4] Moreover, the Queen Mary 2 displaces approximately 76000 tons; the Royal Caribbean Freedom ships displace about 64000 tons. The Queen Mary 2 was the first major ocean liner built since the Queen Elizabeth 2 in 1969. Queen Mary 2's facilities include 15 restaurants and bars, five swimming pools, a casino, a ballroom, a theatre, and a planetarium. General characteristics: Tonnage: 151400 gross tons Displacement: 76000 tonnes (approx) Length: 1132 ft (345 m) Beam: 135 ft (41 m) waterline, 147.5 ft (45.0 m) extreme (bridge wings) Height: 236.2 ft (72.0 m) keel to funnel Draft: 33 ft (10.1 m) Decks: 13 passenger decks Installed power: 117 MW (157000 horsepower) CODAG Propulsion: Four 21.5 MW electric propulsion pods: 2 fixed and 2 azimuthing ...

Queen Mary 2:Final New York Departure of 2008 JP
It was here that the Queen Mary 2 , made her final departure of 2008 from New York to sail to the Caribbean and be based in Ft Lauderdale FL for the winter cruise season.

Bon voyage: Queen Mary 2 departs
Passengers wave goodbye to Sydney as the world's largest cruise liner, the Queen Mary 2, quietly leaves the harbour.

Queen Mary 2 Departure.
May 31st 2009, 6:32 pm the royal ship RMS Queen Mary 2 departs New Yorks Brooklyn Cruise Port in Red Hook Brooklyn, as the ship was to set sail at 6:00 pm was delayed 32 minutes for reason not known. This is a video of the first set of horn blasted. Too bad the memory card in my camera was too small as in after being pushed away from the dock she set of another set of three horn blast. I met some really nice people this day in that I need a cheer up cuz I was afraid I was gonna miss her departure as I did 3 week prior to this.

Martini Mixology Class on Cunard Queen Mary 2 (QM2)
Watch this amazing trick being demonstrated that you must learn for your next party. Squeeze a piece of orange skin and set fire to the citrus oil zest spray for an impressive flame thrower effect. Do this over a martini cocktail to impart a burnt orange flavour that perfectly compliments a Martini Cosmopolitan. We learnt this technique and others on the Martini Mixology Class onboard the Cunard Queen Mary 2 Ocean Liner on our cruise around the UK in October 2009.

Queen Mary 2 - Liverpool Fireworks & Departure
RMS Queen Mary 2 seen prior to departure from Liverpool's Pier Head cruise liner terminal, followed by the firework display seen from on board the ferry, Royal Iris of the Mersey and finally sailing away from the terminal.

Queen Mary 2 leaving Honolulu
The Queen Mary 2, which is the longest cruise ship in the world, arrived in Honolulu, Hawaii, yesterday at around 6 AM and left again around 5 PM. We filmed the departure. Not the arrival, though, I didn't exactly feel much for getting up that early on a Sunday morning lol. Anyways, the video is being played back at 2x speed. I did this because it would have been quite a long video otherwise and it might have become a bit boring to watch. The horns in the beginning of the video is the original sound which the Queen Mary 2 made at the beginning of this video, the music you hear after that is Jaydee - Plastic Dreams.

Queen Mary Slips In

Queen-Sized: The Queen Mary 2 Visits San Francisco
Who gives a toss about the Superbowl? Not San Franciscans, who skipped the game and lined the hills on both sides of the bay Sunday to watch the world's largest cruise ship squeeze through the Golden Gate. The queenly bearing of the QM2 barely cleared "The Bridge" not to mention the narrow shipping channel. I parked myself on the Marin County side of the bridge and videotaped the grand dame's entrance. This video is also downloadable in Windows Media HDTV at connectedtraveler.com

QUEEN MARY 2, SCARBOROUGH
Queen Mary 2 visited Scarborough Friday 16th October 2009. Filmed from Olivers Mount Restaurant 500ft above sea level. QM2 was on her Round-Britain Cruise and was sailing from Southampton to Edinburgh. This is a visitscarborough.com video filmed and produced by Patrick Billington.

Queen Mary Slips In
A spectacular entrance: The Queen Mary 2 luxury liner made its maiden call to the Port of San Francisco on February 4, 2007. Surrounded by a flotilla of ships, yachts and escorted by a San Francisco fire boat, Queen Mary 2 circled the harbor before docking at Pier 27. Thanks to Cindy, Kristin, Rosie and Bill (the gbtimelapse film crew) for their help running six cameras in three bay area locations. This video was created using gbtimelapse and a Canon digital still camera. To see how it was made, visit www.gbtimelapse.com .
